As an aggressive and agile company, we understand the fundamentals of well planned and well timed communication strategies and we've earned a reputation for creating effective, on-target marketing strategies.
Working with clients such as McDonald's, CharBroil, TSYS, Carmike Cinemas and Massage Envy, as well as many other private, non-profit and government agencies, we have a solid reputation for building and positioning brands and creating success. No, we don't have all the answers, (and don't believe anyone who tells you they do), but we do have a natural curiosity and competitive passion that drives us. Success requires carefully managing customer expectations and, more often than not, under promising and over delivering is a pathway to success.
Begins With N
Basset & Becker Advertising began in 1964 as a small print shop owned by 22-year-old artist Jack Basset. With one legal-size press and a ready smile for everyone who walked in the door, Jack quickly became the printer of choice for many area businesses.
Jack was soon designing logos, letterheads and other print items for his clients. The work was so well received that in 1973 he was asked to produce a television commercial for a fledgling barbecue restaurant. Jack plunged into TV commercial production with an adventurous spirit that still drives our agency.
Jack’s reputation for quality work quickly grew, resulting in more and more advertisers knocking on his door. He sold the print shop and began devoting his full attention to the advertising agency.
In 1989, Jack was joined by Bill Becker, an energetic and innovative ad agency veteran who brought a wealth of experience in corporate communications, business-to-business advertising and film and video production. Together they formed Basset & Becker Advertising, which quickly became the region’s preeminent advertising and marketing firm.
With the shift of advertising to digital, in 2010 we decided to rebrand ourselves as Naartjie Multimedia, version 2.0 of Basset & Becker. We've become known as the guys who know their stuff when it comes to advertising. We've had some clients for more than 30 years and some who have just recently come on board. A lot has changed since 1964, but our passion for creativity hasn't. And our first client, the barbecue restaurant? Almost five decades later, they’re still with us.
